Florida- Bahama Adventure {part 1}

I have lived in Minnesota for most of my life and never do I remember a winter/spring like this one. We have had way too much snow in the month of April and no real warm weather to speak of. For the last many weeks we keep thinking that this will be the last time we have to snowblow and for sure we can put away the winter gear, but another snowstorm keeps blowing in. And of course this is the year we don't plan a spring break due to our big Italy trip in the fall. :)

The final straw was on Monday, April 22nd when we woke to 6 inches of fresh snow!! Even for Minnesota this is not right!! Pete got on the internet that morning and surprised me with a little getaway trip to somewhere warm, sunny and sandy.... with no snow. And we were to leave in a just week and a half!!!! :)

So this past Thursday we were on an airplane heading to Florida to board a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas.

We arrived a day early and relaxed for the night at the Hyatt right at the Orlando airport.

That evening we met Pete's Uncle & Aunt and some old family friends for a fun and fabulous dinner!
