prayers for my Dad

A week ago Sunday (9 days ago) our house was sound asleep at 11:30 at night when the phone rang. I jumped out of bed and answered the phone. It was my Mom. My Dad had fallen down the stairs at home. She had called for an ambulance and he was taken to a Trauma 1 hospital nearby.

My Dad had 8 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a broken shoulder, a contusion on the hip... and is really banged up.

But he will be ok. It is going to be a very long road- but he WILL be ok!

He is still in the hospital, waiting for his chest tube to come out, working so hard in physical therapy, and trying to keep his pain under control.

I am so proud of him! He has gone through so much this past week and is working so incredibly hard in his recovery.
