{This past weekend we had to bring home a loaf of Johnnie Bread!

Love the history behind this awesome bread}

{New Women's Bible Study started this morning at my church-- and  it has been such an amazing feeling of knowing I am right where I am suppose to be at this moment! So many "God-incidences" led me to this study. Love when things happen like that.}

wordless Wednesday

{I posted this on twitter the other day but thought it would be the perfect picture for Wordless Wednesday.}

Drew is doing a Monday thru Friday, 5 week hockey camp this summer.

I think it may be wearing him out a little. :)

He was on his way to take a shower and I guess couldn't make it another step.

20 minutes in this spot. :)

Wordless Wednesday

Interesting signs popped up in our city over the weekend.

(I smudged out the phone number in this picture.)

{ I see both sides of the issue here: the money in a severance package was promised to our superintendent in his contract (also a note: he is not retiring and he does have a new job that he is leaving for)...

But the flip side is that our school district is facing 15.8 million dollars in budget cuts. We are closing a school, class sizes are going way up, we are losing teachers, we are losing educational programs, etc.}

Anyway, this was something that caught my eye and has for sure gotten people talking.

As I look out my window I see winter shadows.

These cold and snowy winter days

have me looking ahead

with much anticipation and excitement for....

warmth and sunshine!

sleeping garden

A few days ago I cleaned out my garden, pulling all the dying plants out and raking through the soil. I loaded up the wheel barrel with the plants, weeds and a few 'not-so-good-looking' tomatoes and dumped it all into the compost area we have back in our woods.

The next day I was looking out a window into the woods and something caught my eye. I went outside to get a better look. Can you see it?

Up in the tree?

Something red?

A tomato.

On a branch high up in a tree. But how?

I am thinking a resourceful squirrel. :)

Wordless Wednesday... Monday

Ok~ this is the first time I am playing Wordless Wednesday...and becaause I can't wait until Wednesday...this will be~ um...the Monday Edition;o)

Just because sometimes no words (or almost no words) are needed...

(And I have just one question~ why have I taken to chopping off the top of people's heads in lots and lots of photo's I have taken recently?!?!)
